Early life and career: Born in the suburbs of Milford, to parents who were both working in the automotive industry, Dax has had a great love for cars since childhood. Two years after graduating in 1993 from Walled Lake High School, he moved to California. There he got a degree in Anthropology. Apart from studying, at thesame time he trained at The Groundlings Theater for improv and sketch comedy. Having spent eight whole years of auditioning, Dax Shepard finally got his first paid acting role in Punk’d. Since then his moviestar career has been a success. As for his personal works, in 2012 Shepard wrote, produced, co-directed, and starred a low-budget action comedy film, Hit and Run.
Outside of his working life, Shepard races motorcycles at Buttonwillow Raceway, including his Ducati Hypermotard 1100S and Suzuki GSX-R1000. Besides, he donates much of his time to the Hollenbeck Youth Center, an after-school program that provides opportunity to at-risk inner-city youth.
Personal life: After meeting his girlfriend Kristen Bell at the birthday party of a mutual friend in 2007, he got engaged to Kristen on February 1, 2010. Thay have a daughter named Lincoln Bell, who was born in March 28, 2013.

Since January 2012, Shepard and Bell are vegan.
