Simone Simons is a Dutch singer. She is the singer of the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. Simons has been musically active since she was ten, when she played the flute. After a year she took jazz and pop singing lessons. Simons developed a mezzo-soprano and she sang in a choir for several months.
